Or, you can take the commuter ferry from Auckland city to Gulf Harbour on Friday night and return refreshed on the Monday morning ferry (we have a ferry pick up / drop off service for you).
Manly Beach makes up part of the Whangaparaoa Peninsula with more than 6 pristine beaches, off shore islands, and 3 golf courses, including the world class Gulf Harbour Country Club, close by.
Your host is a keen golfer and would be happy to organise your golf tee time.
Windsurfing lessons, fishing trips or a theraputic massage are just some of the many experiences we can arrange for you.
Take a ferry ride out to Tiritiri Matangi Island, a native bird sanctuary, where endangered birds are building new colonies.
It is a short 15 minute drive to the Waiwera Thermal Pools and the historic village of Puhoi, and 40 minutes scenic drive to the galleries, vineyards and cafes of Matakana. 10 minutes further on is Goat Island, a marine reserve for diving and snorkeling.
Waters Edge Manly is an easy escape from Auckland city, or a beautiful B&B to stay at on your way to Bay of Islands or Northland.
DIRECTIONS
Travel north from Auckland on SH1, exit the motorway at Silverdale.
Drive through Silverdale and turn right at the traffic lights into Whangaparaoa Road.
Follow Whangparaoa Road to the Plaza Town Centre (approx 10 min).
Through 3 sets of traffic lights, take the 2nd road on the left (Ladies Mile) to the end.
We are on the corner of Ladies Mile and Laurence Street.
